Wimbledon is 5 minutes away by train (plus a 2 - 3 minute walk to the station). Likewise there are many trains each hour to Waterloo, the fastest taking only 17 minutes. Guildford, Woking and, well, lots of other places are also very easily commutable from this flat. Junction 10 on the M25 is about 15 minutes drive away (depending on traffic) via the A3, and Heathrow airport is about a 40 minute drive in normal traffic.

A public footbridge by the station will take you straight into the centre of Surbiton with it's many excelent shops, cafes and supermarkets (including both a full sized Waitrose and Sainsburys). Alternatively just a few minutes walk along the Ewell Road (again 1/8 mile or so) will take you to the popular "Liberty Bell" area offering a number of attractive shops, restaurants and a couple of useful late night "convienience" stores.

Kingston-upon-Thames town centre is only a 5 minute bus ride away (the bus stops more or less right outside, though it should be emphasised that the property is set well back from the main road, having a particularly long front garden).

Off street parking is provided for residents and their guests.

Rupert the Bear We're proud of the fact that Alfred E Bestall, writer and illustrator of the world famous Rupert the Bear stories as well as illustrations for Punch magazine and Tattler amongst other notable achievements, lived here (in Flat 8) Beaconsfield House, Surbiton from 1966 to 1977 (as confirmed in his biography, written in 2003 by his niece and god-daughter, Caroline Bott).
